Walking with Jesus in this life, realizing He is your Lord and Savior, that He paid the price for your sin, you will live forever with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. It is a conscious choice we make. That includes Christians believe it or not.
What do I mean by that?
Well a Christian not actively having a relationship with God, continuing the same sin without actually making an effort and thinking they are excused? Nope. They are behaving the same as an unbeliever. “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.' Revelation 3:15-16
So active participating Christians with relationship with Christ will experience The Judgement Seat of Christ. It will be a joyous occasion because Jesus has washed us clean of sin. As the Accuser tries to present their case regarding our sin, Jesus has nothing recorded in any other books other than the Book of Life. We are redeemed and the Accuser has no case.
Living your life with out Jesus means your eternal life will be without Jesus. Not because you are a sinner and not because you may act like a saint. It's simple, no relationship with Jesus no eternal life with Jesus. Instead at the White Throne of Judgement they will hear "I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness!"
The Accuser will bring your case before the Lord, He will open The Book of Life and your name will not be entered. Instead many books will be opened to show all your thoughts, words, deeds, and actions. Because you chose to try to enter the Kingdom of Heaven on your own, you will be thrown into the Lake of Fire; an eternal separation from God and can never be altered.

Glorified, Incorruptible, Immortal Bodies
We will remain who we have been created to be. So I am a female, I remain a female. Vice versa for males. As for the disabled in this lifetime? They will be restored to perfect form and health! We will not have wings (angels don't even have wings!), we will have physical bodies that eat, feel, are tangible.
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Rev . 21:4
