"God did not create evil.
Just as darkness is the absence of light, evil is the absence of God."

Albert Einstein

What is Sin?

Sin is not keeping with God's word or His commands. God's word for us and commands are all in the Bible. It is like an instruction manual for avoiding sin. But the Bible is so much more as you can see on the page Hidden Messages.

The Hebrew definition of sin is "to fail or to miss the goal". Sin originated in the Garden of Eden with our ancestors Adam and Eve. God created Adam from dust and Eve from Adam's rib. They were pure; there was no sin, God walked with them there. God warned Adam not to eat from a tree, Adam didn't correctly warn Eve, Satan enters the scene and tempts Eve. Eve then eats from that tree, Adam accepts her tempt to eat, and from there sin was born. God can not be present with sin so He separated Himself from Adam and Eve; then they were expelled from Eden. Now any new births are born of sin; Adamic nature. Nothing we can do about it and thankfully God loves us so much He devised a plan.

The Fall of Adam and Eve Explained

What's the Big Deal?

The "big deal" is sin separates us for eternity from God. God is sinless, while we are born of sin and naturally commit sin. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son to die in our place. Jesus is our redeemer. God is very legal and hence why so much legal terminology in the Bible. Redemption is the act of regaining something after exchange of payment or clearing of debt. Because we are of sin we belong to Satan. We can never do enough to pay our debt to God. However, if we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our debt to God is paid! We are saved by the blood of Jesus; His blood has washed us white. Now we can walk in eternity with God the Father as He did with Adam and Eve in the garden. God no longer sees any sin in us only all goodness. He only has beautiful thoughts of us. Furthermore, once we are walking as a believer and the Holy Spirit has moved in and cleaning house, you will have a peace that makes no sense. Even when stressed out! You begin to live a positive life; your physical appearance changes as well as your inner spirit. It allows us to live a better life. God working on His "masterpiece" in us.

How Do I Get Rid of It?

We cannot get rid of sin. It's that plain and simple.

The only way to be free of sin is to accept that you cannot do this on your own nor live life your way. Once you agree to the terms you basically say a small prayer. It isn't magic so just saying the words doesn't save you. Believing the words and in Jesus; acknowledging to walk in all His ways, His will not your own, only then can you be free. You can literally feel a quickening of your heart.

“Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God and Savior of the world. I believe that you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I believe that through your sacrifice, I am a new person. Forgive me for my sin and fill me with your Spirit", Amen."

Then it is best to continue your journey by educating yourself about God the Father, Jesus the Son, and The Holy Spirit. Learn what it means to read the Bible, not read the Bible. It isn't a book; it's God's living word to us. Then you should look into finding a church that stays true to God's word. Not what we want to hear but staying true to God's word.

The Greatest Love Story Ever Told

What Sin Does God Hate?

There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him:

·         haughty eyes

·         a lying tongue

·         hands that shed innocent blood

·         a heart that devises wicked schemes

·         feet that are quick to rush into evil

·         a false witness who pours out lies

·         a person who stirs up conflict in the community

Is Anyone Too Far Gone to Be Saved?

NEVER!!! If the heart is willing God is willing. His goal is that everyone should live and none should perish.

There are many examples with in the Bible I will list below but this video is an illustration of Jesus Parable of Leaving the 99.

The Lost Sheep.

·        Matthew 18:12

·        Matthew 18: 21-35

·        2 Chronicles 33:1-25

Moses committed murder as did King David...a man after God's own heart! Many of God's people He used for great purpose were deeply flawed. But God loved them and saw their repentance...He saw their hearts.

So, All I Have to Do Is Say Yes to Jesus?

Oh no hahaha! We are saved by God's grace through our faith. However, we are required to do "works" or basically follow God's will and commandments.
