In The Beginning
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters."
Genesis 1:1-2
God the Father, Jesus the Son, and The Holy Spirit represent the trinity
and all were present at Creation. Thought, Word, Action.
That's how I like to view the trinity so that it makes sense to me. Click
the photo for Ken Ham's page for all sorts of answers. He and his staff
stick to answering all questions with " you have to start with Genesis 1:11" !
So this page I will post Pastor Allan Nolan again as he did another extensive breakdown of Genesis as he did for Revelation. Please remember to take your time and although the videos may start "dry" you will be amazed at all the wow that is packed "in the beginning".
Evolution vs Genesis is sooooo interesting!! You may even decide to take a road trip to the Noah's Ark that was actually constructed and to all specifications in the bible as proof it could be done. They have the ark, museum, and a zoo. I can't wait to get there!!
Fun facts I never knew or grasped when I first read, it had never rained, we all were herbivores....eating animals or being eaten by them was never an option! All things changed after The Flood. The life expectancy of mankind in the beginning explained and how it was altered after The Flood. Prayer came after the flood.
Creation vs. Evolution
This has been an on going debate amongst the scholars. I love the explanation about the dinosaurs and the age of the planet.
Answers in Genesis is such a tool to be utilized first for your own understanding and later to be able to share with people you may be witnessing. The site www.answersingenesis.org is a wealth of information. Below are some links with bountiful information.
Genesis 2:21-22 " The Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and then closed up the place of the flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man."
I was curious as to why God made the woman from the rib and not from dust as He did Adam...also many woman's libbers like to use this verse to say God was sexist. God loves all His creations equally and it was after the fall that men and women's roles were changed as part of the curse. But once again, thanks to God and John 3:16 God has the plan to save us all. All who are willing.
